Coffee isn’t just for drinking anymore.

For Fairtrade Fortnight, I’ve ‘bean’ creative with Fairtrade coffee. I have painted a series of portrait of well-known faces including our Fairtrade Champions of Devon, in coffee.

Here is the Mona Lisa in coffee.

Juice of the bean

By mixing coffee and water in ‘secret’ quantities I create a glue-like consistency. Using a technique similar to painting with watercolours, I build up hues of colour, then inhale the caffeine!

Here’s how Mona woke  up and smelt the coffee:
